Job Type Full-timeDescriptionReporting directly to the VP of Consumer Lending & Operations, the Consumer Loan Operations Manager is primarily responsible for managing the day to day processing and servicing functions within Consumer Lending. This position also assists with projects for Consumer Lending, including regulatory, systems and compliance projects. The Manager continually assesses lending processes to identify opportunities for improvement, risk alignment, and works cross-functionally with other departments to test and help implement successful solutions. The Consumer Loan Operations Manager is responsible for developing staff to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and achieving the SLA results of the department. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a work environment conducive to teamwork and a high level of performance and productivity, which includes demonstrating and encouraging positive working relationships which promotes member service and exemplifies GLCU's Standards of Greatness.1. Regularly coaches employees to ensure understanding of performance standards pertinent to their roles. Ensures clarity regarding whether these standards are being met and provides guidance for improvement where needed. 2. Provides support and supervision to all consumer loan operational duties such as: loan processing, funding, title processing, departmental/ regulatory audits, loan servicing, loan sales, general ledger balancing, indirect loan processing and reporting. 3. Maintains department budget, monitors expenditures to ensure budget is used to maximize efficiency of the department. 4. Responsible for Meridian Link Administration functions related to updates for new products and services, testing, user updates and password resets. 5. Supports training needs and facilitates training or shadowing sessions when needed.6. Handles member escalations and reports escalation of systemic issues, risks, or potential losses to direct supervisor.7. Ensures processing and servicing procedures are accurate, compliant and up to date.8. Assesses departmental operations to identify potential improvements, and implement change9. Assigns work and reviews, observes and/or audits work to assess department and employee performance. 10. Meets departmental Service Level Agreements (SLAs).11. Responsible for documenting and communicating departmental achievements. Prepares operational reporting for management review. 12. Leads and facilitates departmental meetings.13. Ensures that employees remain in compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, rules and regulations. Additionally ensure that employees adhere to all GLCU and department guidelines, policies and procedures. 14. All other duties as assigned. Requirements3 to 5 years of lending experience with a proven performance record.1-2 years' experience with managing and/or leading a team.Meridian Link experience would be an assetHome Equity Loan experience preferred but not required Proficiency in Microsoft Office especially in Excel, Word, and PowerPointStrong research, analytical, planning, and organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude.A 2-year college degree, or completion of a specialized study or training.Proven leadership skills.A passion for helping and developing others.A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.Ability to multi-task and handle sensitive financial information.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to keep clients continuously informed of status or problems in a timely manner to stakeholders via appropriate channels (phone, video, email, etc.).
