Job Description - Sales Specialist (VIR00000N) LEONI Fiber Optics, Inc. (Williamsburg, VA): We are one of the nations best designers and producers of high-quality fiber optic products. We serve well-respected manufacturers and other industrial and military players across various applications such as metrology, industrial and medical lasers, and industrial data transmission. Our Williamsburg, VA site is an integral part of a global engineering, manufacturing and sales team with co-workers in Europe, allowing for innovative and customer-specific solutions. From Q2 2022, we expect to be trading as Weinert Fiber Optics due to the sale of our business unit to a consortium of investors led by Mr. Andreas Weinert, the founder of LEONI Fiber Optics. Our new investors have a strong interest in sustainably growing our business. Sales Specialist US-Virginia - VIR00000N We are looking for a dedicated sales professional to maintain and grow our customer base. The ideal candidate has experience and knowledge of the fiber optics, metrology instrumentation, industrial laser, or semiconductor manufacturing industries, and the ability to work out of our Williamsburg, VA office. Responsibilities: Meet established sales objectives together with the LEONI team for a specific portfolio of customers and prospects. Aptitude to develop a deep knowledge of our engineered products. Understand the needs and challenges of individual customers and prospects as it pertains to fiber optics. Reply with adequate technical solutions to requests for quotation and other customer inquiries. Oversee pricing strategies and margin management for a dedicated customer base and/or product line. Consolidate market trends on a product/technology level and provide input to a cohesive business development strategy. Travel across the USA and occasionally Europe to meet with customers and prospects, and to attend trade shows. Support the creation of marketing media such as case studies, newsletters, and sales presentations. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree, ideally in a technical field, or equivalent work experience. More than 2 years of experience working in a B2B/industrial products engineering or sales position. Proven track record of growing business in a certain region or for a certain product/division. Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Comprehensive training on sales techniques (Miller Heiman, Karrass, Value Selling, Sandler, etc.). Self-motivated and self-directed with strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-moving environment. Working knowledge of ERP and CRM systems and proficient in MS Office.
