About the Company
Our client is a fast-paced, high-growth, private equity-backed business in Oak Brook, IL is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the accounting department. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and reviewing financial day-to-day general accounting documents, reports, and statements ensuring that all business transactions are reported in accordance with GAAP principles. Oversee accounting procedures and advise on general finance matters.
Responsibilities
Post transactions and categorize records in the general ledger.
Reconcile bank, credit card and other billing statements.
Maintain accurate and complete accounting records and files.
Assist with the month-end close (adjusting journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, etc.)
Perform monthly account analysis and reconciliations.
Research and analyze expense variances for company management.
Assist with the annual audit process including preparing the draft of the financial statements and related notes.
Assist with establishing, modifying, documenting, and coordinating the implementation of accounting control procedures/processes.
Assist other departments and collaborate with cross-functional teams
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
3+ years of professional accounting experience
Excellent Microsoft Office skills; Expert spreadsheet abilities

Ability to prioritize multiple projects effectively and meet deadlines.
Analytical mindset with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
