Senior Tax Analyst

Position Overview: As a Senior Tax Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting both income tax and sales tax functions within the organization. Working closely with the leader of the tax department, you will contribute to the success of our tax strategy while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review income tax provisions and related compliance documentation
  • Analyze and reconcile financial data to support accurate tax reporting
  • Research and interpret tax laws, regulations, and rulings to ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for tax analysis
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of sales tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
  • Work closely with the tax department leader to develop and implement tax strategies
  • Provide support for tax audits and inquiries
  • Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to inform the organization of potential impacts

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred
  • 3+ years of experience in tax accounting
  • Strong knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
  • Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Excel
