Estimator Summary: We are seeking a sophisticated individual to join our sales team in our Canton, OH location. Job responsibilities will include preparing estimates based upon specifications and design requirements provided by our customers. Candidates will also be responsible for managing projects after award, handling communications and submittals to customer representatives.

Responsibilities:

Review customer drawings, specifications, and terms and conditions to accurately prepare estimates for substation steel projects. Perform detailed take-offs for substation steel in Microsoft Excel. Communicate with material suppliers to ensure material pricing is competitive and accurately reflected in quotations. Review purchase order documents for compliance with quoted specifications and terms and conditions. Support customers in various ways to fulfill contract requirements. Timely communications with customers when performing estimates and project management duties. Review projects after completion for estimation accuracy.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Preferred bachelor's degree, associate degree with 2 years' experience or 5 years of experience in a similar field. Ability to read and understand structural steel fabrication drawings. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to work without direct direction from supervisors. Outstanding organizational skills with ability to handle multiple priorities at once. Strong problem-solving skills. Self motivated, desire to improve one's knowledge and skills on an ongoing basis. Relentless determination and courage to make things happen; strong execution skills; results oriented. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office products.
