Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze proposal specifications and technical drawings to define the project scope
  • Generate estimates by performing comprehensive takeoffs of the project requirements
  • Solicit quotations from vendors for necessary materials and equipment
  • Identify and engage qualified suppliers and subcontractors for competitive quotes
  • Evaluate received quotes for accuracy and alignment with project specifications
  • Detail all incidental costs required for bid submissions
  • Conduct thorough reviews of project scope, technical specifications, and pricing structures
  • Participate in project handover meetings to present estimates
  • Complete all documentation required by clients
  • Draft letters outlining inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications regarding the scope
  • Maintain organized records of all working documents
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in estimating for commercial electrical projects
  • Familiarity with Accubid software is advantageous
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints
  • Competent in using computers and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Self-driven and a proactive collaborator
