Two additional lines of business are powered by SIG, including SIG University () and Future of Sourcing (). SIG University is an online certification and training program for sourcing, outsourcing, governance, and third party risk professionals wishing to supplement their experience with tangible, proven curriculum. Future of Sourcing is a widely recognized digital publication delivering the latest content for decision-makers at the heart of the global sourcing community.
**Job Summary:**
SIG (Sourcing Industry Group), the leading Global Association for Sourcing Professionals is seeking an entry-level Event Coordinator. This position will support SIGs in-person and digital events, including logistics, administrative and materials/website support, booking of venues and managing F&B for SIGs one day programming and general support of registration desks and other onsite programs.
**Core Responsibilities, including but not limited to:**
* Coordinate and monitor event timelines and ensure that deadlines are met
* On-site and Digital event logistic support
* Update and maintain event session descriptions, speakers, headshots and agendas on SIG website
* Prepare supporting documents for each event (presentations, agendas, event timelines, create attendee lists for printing, create name badges and tent cards for printing)
* SIGnature event site selection, site coordination, oversee F&B
* Monitor and track attendance and maintain attendee lists
* Provide onsite coordination to ensure flow of the day is smooth, regular status meetings with speakers and SIG leadership for each event
* Shipping of documentation
* Ordering of furniture for SIGs Tech Lounge, pop up meetings
* Future of Sourcing awards show support, ordering of awards and coordination of ceremony
* Coordination of SIG provider prizes for SIG programming
* Communication (pre and post event) with event speakers and presenters, staying on task with receiving all content deliverables (session titles, abstracts, PowerPoint presentations, white papers)
* Communication (pre and post event) with SIGs provider sponsors, ensuring all sponsor product is ordered and received and all paid sponsorships are being delivered by SIG
* Communication (pre and post event) with SIGs leadership team, informational pre-event meetings and transferring of show flow, post-event debrief meetings
* Delegate acquisition support for all events
* Support for SIGs Call for Proposal process
* Support for SIGs Summit App
* Facilitate and manage SIGs User Attendance Campaign for each Summit
* Assist with management of SIGs Provider Showcases and Innovation Halls, including booth support
* Carry out on-site tasks for SIG events such as registration desk support, Speed Networking support, Future of Sourcing Awards support, packing of supplies, maintenance of event supplies
* Staying current with new event logistical tools and technology
* Conduct program analytics to continuously improve SIG program offerings
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelors Degree Event Management focused degree a plus
* Strong project management skills must be able to manage multiple programs at one time
* Excellent communication skills both written and verbal to SIG members and SIG employees
* Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
* Ability to work cross-functionally with Marketing and Sales teams
* Ability to prioritize tasks and projects
* Ability to effectively respond to time-sensitive issues and meet deadlines
* Ability to work in an organized manner efficiently and take constructive criticism and direction from leadership
* Initiative and ability to work independently (self-direction), while thriving in a setting requiring collaboration and teamwork for maximal efficiency and effectiveness
* Attention to detail that ensures follow through on all initiatives implemented, and all projects undertaken
* Ability to manage through change and work in an innovative, fast-paced environment
* Motivated, team player, collaborative, high energy, highly disciplined and strong work ethic
* Effective computer skills and knowledge of desktop applications, including MS Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint, etc.). Knowledge of Salesforce a plus.
* Tech savvy with the ability to quickly/easily learn new technologies and processes
* Must be authorized to work in the USA
