A successful candidate in this role will have passion, creativity, and an insatiable desire for process improvement and efficiency. They will also have a strong desire to be out in the factory, interacting with mechanics, safety, and maintenance, and directly supporting the production system. In Equipment Engineering, we need highly responsible professionals committed to upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and integrity.ResponsibilitiesPosition Responsibilities:Evaluates program and project requirements, develops complex equipment and tooling concepts and designs solutions for the Production System.Participates in product design reviews and researches the application of robotics, automation and new technology to support the build plan and establish technical requirements for producibility.Develops statements of work with validated specifications, requirements, and functions and prepares design or fabrication off load packages.Validates contractual performance milestones, maintains configuration control, conducts reviews, prepares plans for productions readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares. Coordinates training for Production and Maintenance personnel.Provides technical support for engineering changes and discrepancies by investigating problems, and analyzing data to identify solutions.Ensures compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors and regulatory requirements.Assists with disposition of equipment and tooling.Task examples that you will be expected to work under general direction:Supports the investigation of basic equipment and tooling concepts and specifications to satisfy aerospace product design and build requirements.Creates off-load packages, specifications, purchase requests and usage instructions for equipment and tooling.This position is expected to be 100% onsite.
