Responsible for a variety of financial duties and financial projects involving planning, analysis, and reporting. This includes periodic analysis of financial results, developing financial forecasts/annual budgets, variance analysis, financial data integrity, and various other finance related projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain, and publish reports for the business on a weekly, monthly, and seasonal basis in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Create models, validate data, analyze results, develop recommendations, and present conclusions.
  • Partner with Sales to help implement, analyze, and maintain the sales trade/discount system.
  • Partner with various managers and directors within Marketing, Cost accounting, and Supply chain to provide analysis with regards to inventory, capital projects, and customer profitability.
  • Ensure consistency in reporting formats and data sources; work in conjunction with Sales, Account Planning, Customer Service, Supply Chain, Production, and IT to ensure integrity of deliverables and identify and resolve issues as necessary.
  • Manage and assist various projects across multiple departments to help drive efficiency and reduce complexity within the companies ERP system.
  • Crosstrain with other accounting personnel to provide backup and develop process improvements.
  • Develop and implement models and reports for the sales forecasting and budgeting processes.

Qualifications/Required Skill

Education and/or Experience: This position requires a bachelor's degree in finance or accounting from an accredited college and 3-7 years of experience in related work is preferred.

Language Skills: Effectively reads, comprehends, and composes simple to complex instructions, correspondence, and memos. Effectively communicates verbally and in writing. Conducts professional and compelling presentations and effectively responds to questions from groups of managers and senior executives within the Company.

Interpersonal Skills: Team player, flexible and accepts changing assignments and accountabilities.

Reasoning Ability: Demonstrates the self-confidence and maturity to make decisions and solve problems with minimal direction. Organized and able to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Possesses strong analytical, quantitative, communication, problem solving, and technical skills. Has the ability to creatively apply experience and common sense to a variety of situations.

Computer Skills: Proficient is using Microsoft applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with ERP systems as well as BI software (cube data/pivot tables) is preferred.

Work Environment: The work environment is a traditional office.Occasional travel between our office and plants will be required.
