Part of Strategic Sales and Analytics organization, the Senior Category Analyst plays a critical role, in working with their Category Manager, focusing on the health of a category and if we’re set up to win. The Senior Category Analyst will be responsible for crafting compelling sell-in stories, serve as the expert on POS performance, market trends, competitors’ performance and future market projections. This role works directly with sales to ensure every item is winning and set up to win versus it’s benchmark. This is an excellent position for a highly motivated, team member who likes to work in a fast-paced environment and data driven atmosphere. Lists: Drive actionable reporting to drive winning at each subcategory. Serve as the category expert internally, generating and presenting actionable insights on pricing, promotional impacts, positioning, competitive landscape and market needs to develop comprehensive strategies. Manage delivery of daily, weekly, monthly deliverables reporting on the health of the business Identify category gaps/opportunities, craft sales stories with strategic recommendations that differentiate Shark from competitors, helping to increase distribution, space and displays.
