Civil Engineering Supervisor

Approximately 25% travel. Approximately 25% telework. Primary Responsibilities Provide supervision for a team of experienced professionals who ensure work under the task order is performed properly and within the prescribed time and budget constraints. Direct supervision of personnel including hiring, promotion, and termination authority. Provide timecard management and guidance for assigned staff. Maintain frequent interface and communication with manager, FAA personnel, and other contractor personnel. Oversee project plans, establish schedules, and estimates. Oversee multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines in a fast-paced team environment. Ensure electronic project folders are maintained related to site preparation and equipment installation problems. Work with multiple disciplines as applied to engineering projects. Provide technical assistance and recommendations regarding construction-related punch-list items. Effectively communicate in written and verbal form. Provide well-organized documentation. Discuss project-related items with stakeholders, contractors, and code related Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Suggest ways to improve the efficiency of operations. Assist in the creation, review, and revisions of documents owned and/or managed by the program. Develop, administer, operate, maintain, repair, modify, and enhance the program’s KSN site. Coordinate with stakeholders to implement Operational Risk Management, including development and submission of Project Risk Plans. Monitor the construction of projects, including coordination with stakeholders to refine Operational Risk Management Plan activities. Basic Qualifications Civil Engineering degree from a 4-year ABET-accredited College/University with 12+ years of relevant experience or Masters with 10+ years of experience. Prior supervisory experience with multiple personnel and projects. Relevant experience in designing shelter replacements, road improvements, roofing replacements, facility structural improvements, and facility modernization. Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Engineering Scheduling tools and applications. Proficiency with AUTOCAD / MICROSTATION. Must be capable of supervising a team of civil engineers and safety personnel. Must be capable of reviewing construction projects for safety compliance. Must be capable of lifting 20 lbs. and completing physically demanding tasks. Excellent communication skills for technical questions and program presentations. Preferred Qualifications Previous work experience with the FAA is highly preferred. Prior work experience with US government managers, employees, and programs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
