Key Responsibilities:
Develops comprehensive design documentation, specifications, and related materials for engineering initiatives under the guidance of management.

Maintains detailed records of design progress through written reports, drawings, sketches, calculations, or tabulations to facilitate quality assurance evaluations of work conducted by other team members, ensuring adherence to the department's QA/QC protocols.

Assesses current site conditions, including topographic surveys and geotechnical data collection.

Collaborates with utility providers to establish new services and assess the need for relocations concerning the design project.

Conducts necessary calculations to ensure precise and thorough design of project components.
Generates and/or verifies quantity and cost estimates for design projects.
Employs value engineering principles and integrates technical insights from team members throughout the design process.
Contributes to the preparation of proposals for prospective projects.
Utilizes experience and judgment to strategize and achieve objectives.
Continuously enhances personal expertise in engineering and construction best practices through practical experience.

May serve as a liaison with clients, contractors, or other stakeholders involved in the project, aiding in necessary coordination and problem resolution among parties and site operations.

Assists in managing project expenses by overseeing budgets, invoicing, and reporting for both internal and client requirements.

Expands professional network by participating in industry events and cultivating new relationships that may lead to talent acquisition and business development opportunities.


Essential Qualifications:
5+ years of substantial, relevant full-time experience in the electrical engineering sector.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Illinois is preferred.

Proficient in software tools including Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, and AGI32. Our team of over 200 comprises seasoned and responsive professionals who deliver engineering, surveying, and environmental services with a personal touch.
