Serves as the patient's 'Personal Care Champion' by assisting them with activities of daily living. Greets patients at night, assists with patient placement, and assists with patient flow initiatives and room turnover. Perform clerical and reception duties utilizing knowledge of medical terminology. Duties include answering telephones, reviewing physician order and various health care documents, completing order entry. Conduct patient interviews to verify demographic and insurance information necessary for the patient and third party payers, assures compliance with all state and federal rules/regulations pertaining to insurance carrier, and gathers signatures for required forms. Other duties as assigned to ensure patient access management and to maximize the revenue cycle.
