Employee Type: RegularWe are looking for an extremely motivated and proactive communications professional who can provide marketing support for promoting the company's services to current and potential customers. This position will play a crucial role in developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote our company and its services. The Marketing Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate, develop and track marketing communications, which includes developing marketing material for the NACCO companies. Overall, this position will support our communication and marketing efforts to keep the company looking and sounding professional and current.Job Description:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Collaborate with businesses to fully understand services and marketing needs and conduct market research and analysis to identify trends and competitive insightsDraft and propose marketing campaign recommendations, which may include social and online media, print media, direct mail, trade show materials, and other multimediaCollaborate with the communications team to create, edit and coordinate communication/marketing campaign materials and presentationsEvaluate success of marketing campaigns using data-driven insights to optimize strategies and tacticsWork with external resources to coordinate, collect, and develop marketing contentProvide and report website tracking through Google Analytics for SEO strategy planningGenerate a regular report of media and social mentions of the companyConduct industry research as neededProofread and edit various company publicationsAssist with various communications meetings, including scheduling and planningCollaborate with employees across the company to manage various marketing functions and to provide graphic design/writing/marketing supportAct as a communications/marketing consultant to a variety of internal groups by providing comprehensive customer service and ensuring consistency with company communication and marketing plansKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Creativity, analytical skills and strategic thinkingResponsiveness to internal customers and commitment to providing outstanding serviceExcellent communication skills - both written and verbalAbility to prioritize effectively and multi-task under deadline pressuresExceptional work ethic committed to achieving quality results through attention to detailHighly organized and can manage multiple projects independentlyStrong sense of ownership and responsibility, as well as customer serviceWorks collaborativelyMust be able to interact with all levels of the organization's personnelAdvanced verbal skills, plus strong writing, editing, proofing and project management skills in not only print, but also electronic and intranet communicationsAbility to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization; solid team building, coaching and project delegation skillsMust be able to handle varied workloadsWork requires the ability and willingness to travelEducation, Training, and Experience:Proficiency in Adobe Suite: InDesign, Illustrator, and PhotoshopProficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook and PowerPointWriting and graphic design experienceDemonstrated knowledge of Associated Press (AP) styleExperience with WordPress, Teams and/or SharePoint a plusSocial media content generation experience preferredMinimum Education and ExperienceBachelor's degree Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or CommunicationsThree to five years of experience; preferably in Communications or MarketingEEO Statement:EEO/M/F/disability/veteran You must meet at least the specific minimum requirements listed above to be considered a qualified applicant.
