About The Role

Position Purpose

The Loan Support Specialist Supervisor is responsible for supervising the Loan Support Specialist Team and providing them the necessary training, guidance, and overall mentorship to be successful in their jobs. This role will also assist commercial lenders throughout the division with all aspects of the commercial lending process. Responsible for providing loan support for all loans and assisting with portfolio management, helping with special projects, and assignments while adhering to and exemplifying our Core Values: Embrace Responsibility, Execute with Excellence, Pursue Growth & Learning, Thrive Together.

Essential Functions
  • Supervise and lead the Loan Support Specialist Team.
  • Act as a mentor for the team members to encourage growth in their roles.
  • Provides expertise, leadership, training, and guidance to team members to ensure quality work and compliance with bank standards.
  • Work on process improvements for enhanced efficiency and higher quality work.
  • Work closely with lenders, credit administration, and management to ensure loan needs are being met.
  • Understand and effectively operate all loan computer programs, including but not limited to nCino, Silverlake, etc.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
  • Assist with loan closing preparation including, but not limited to ordering title work, appraisals/valuations, environmental reports, flood determinations, etc.
  • Request and review loan documents and make sure loan files are accurate and complete.
  • Accurately complete all necessary forms.
  • Facilitate collateral perfection filings and payment remittance.
  • Assure closed loans are boarded promptly and loan documents are scanned or mailed to the correct location.
  • Make sure loans are properly funded and correct tickets are run.
  • Assist lender with portfolio management tasks including, but not limited to covenant and collateral tracking.
  • Lead the covenant tracking project in nCino.
  • Effectively work with third party vendors, such as, accountants, bookkeepers, and title companies.
  • Work on special projects with credit administration. All other duties as assigned.
  • Complete required bank training courses within assigned time frame(s). It is the individual learner responsibility to ensure that they understand the information given to them in each training. If the learner does not understand the information given, they need to reach out to their supervisor for further clarification or additional training.
  • Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • 5 or more years of similar or related experience, including preparatory experience is required
  • Associate's Degree or higher is required.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Prior supervisory experience is required

  • Ability to effectively manage a sales pipeline to manage to achievement of sales goals.
