Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at the Justice, Bureau of Prisons/Federal Prison System. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our institution buildings and structures, ensuring a safe and secure environment for our staff and inmates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and train inmate workers in various maintenance trades, including carpentry, masonry, plumbing, and electrical work.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans, specifications, and blueprints to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and environmental regulations.
  • Order and purchase materials and equipment as needed to support maintenance projects.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in maintenance or facilities management, with supervisory experience preferred.
