Momar is looking for an Operations Support Technician

Momar, Inc., a privately owned, specialty chemical manufacturing company based in Atlanta, GA, is seeking an Operations Support Technician to join the Momar family. Reporting to the Sales & Service Representative, the Operations Support Technician plays a crucial role in supporting and optimizing the company's day-to-day operations. This position involves collaborating within the division and with various departments to ensure seamless coordination and execution of tasks. Additionally, the Operations Support Technician is responsible for assisting with unloading railcars, blending, loading trucks, and operating systems such as pumps and valving.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Sheridan, WY operations inbox, ensuring timely completion of tasks and correspondence.
  • Support customer and vendor orders by addressing inquiries and resolving issues effectively.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to email and telephone inquiries, maintaining a customer-focused approach and routing as necessary.
  • Complete data entry and updates, ensuring accurate record-keeping, organization, and management of information.
  • Perform lab analyses and document findings according to established protocols.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of division operational tasks and how this role contributes to achieving operational goals.
  • Support MinTech's Managing Director and operations team by providing administrative assistance, coordinating schedules, preparing reports, and facilitating communication to ensure alignment with organizational goals and operational efficiency.
  • Manage supply and inventory control to ensure optimal availability and organization.
  • Identify and address issues in coordination with the Facility Supervisor to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Ensure the smooth and effective execution of unloading, blending, and loading processes.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Facility Manager to support operational needs.

  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, professionalism, and the ability to diffuse tense situations.
  • Work well under pressure and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
  • Take a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Operate effectively both independently and collaboratively.
  • Show willingness to learn and handle systems for unloading railcars, blending products, and loading semi-haul trucks.
  • Manage sensitive information with discretion, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with privacy policies and regulations.
  • Meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities with flexibility.
  • Present a positive and professional image for the organization.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Hands-on experience with the installation, repair, and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, for completing data entry.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in operations.
Physical Requirements:
  • The ability to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. unassisted.
  • Frequently required to sit, stand, use hands and fingers to handle/feel items, reach with hands and arms, stoop, bend, and talk or hear.
