Job Description: Industrial Engineer

Ready to join a large, global company with exciting, cutting-edge technology? Our client manufactures state-of-the-art X-Ray Scanners & Body Scanners for TSA, U.S. Customs and Border Patrol, as well as other customers.

As an Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for analyzing and improving existing processes while playing a key role in driving better productivity and cost-effectiveness across the operations organization. Your role is crucial in identifying and implementing changes to enhance employee, facility, and system performance while maintaining or improving safety, quality, and customer service.

Job Duties:

+ Process Improvement: Apply Lean techniques such as VSM, Continuous Flow, Workplace Organization (5S), Cycle Time, Takt Time Studies, Ergonomics, Waste Definition, and TPM Program.

+ Technology Support: Support information and technology system deployments.

+ Collaborate with other functional departments to accomplish projects.

+ Resource Utilization: Provide operations with necessary support and guidance for improving resource utilization and cost reduction projects.

+ Analysis and Reporting: Perform analyses, develop metrics, and create applicable reports.

+ CAD Utilization: Use CAD to design, redesign, and enhance work areas and layouts to maximize ergonomics, space utilization, efficiency, and reduce repetitive motions.

+ SOP Development: Refine, develop, and implement current and future SOP work instructions.

Skills & Qualifications:

+ Experience with AutoCAD.

+ Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

+ Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles.

+ Strong communication and organizational skills.

+ Project management experience is a plus.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis.

+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

+ Required: Bachelors Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering (or equivalent field).

+ Preferred: Six Sigma Lean Certification.
