Industrial Automation Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Industrial Automation Specialist to join our team at Automated Motion, Inc. As an Industrial Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for executing robotic system assembly, specifically control panel wiring, electrical assembly, wiring, labeling, electrical component and system turn-up, and some mechanical assembly per the electrical engineering schematics and designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and test electrical control panels and automation systems
- Read and interpret electrical engineering drawings, bills of materials, and automation control spec sheets
- Execute system start-up with zero to very few failures
- Support and perform machine assembly and general robotic system installation
- Log all services and report progress to management
- Maintain all equipment and tools in excellent working order
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Work rapidly without compromising quality in order to minimize down times
Work Environment:
- Most work is performed in a manufacturing environment.
- Travel will be necessary to install and start-up systems at customer facilities.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Vocational School Diploma, completed apprenticeship, or comparable amount of training preferred.
- 5+ years of experience as an Industrial Electrician or Automation Controls Electrical technician
- Experience with conveyors, automation equipment, robotics, or servo-based machines preferred
- Experience reading wiring drawings, panel schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience creating, assembling, and installing wire harnesses
- Experience building and wiring electrical control panels
- Able to utilize electrical tools, hand tools, and power tools
- Solid working knowledge of all code requirements
- Ability and willingness to follow all legal and company safety regulations
- Physical ability to complete this type of work, often in demanding environments
- Pride in your work
- Able to work independently with little supervision

- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Ability to work well under deadlines
- Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet proficiency
