Role Overview:
As the Chief Operations Strategist, you will collaborate with software developers, product managers, designers, engineers, and delivery teams to enhance and standardize our legacy system software and managed file transfer (MFT) solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Development:
    Formulate and implement a detailed strategy for modernizing and standardizing legacy system software, including source code management, transmission methods, and process automation.
  • Leadership and Team Development:
    Build and guide a high-performing team of engineers, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and ongoing improvement.
  • Technology Assessment and Deployment:
    Identify cutting-edge technologies and best practices for system modernization, overseeing their application to improve performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Process Enhancement:
    Evaluate existing manual workflows and implement standardized practices to boost efficiency, minimize errors, and streamline operations.
  • Vendor Collaboration:
    Engage with vendors and third-party partners to assess, select, and integrate tools and solutions that align with our modernization goals.
  • Cross-Departmental Coordination:
    Work closely with various departments, including IT, operations, and business development, to ensure that modernization initiatives align with overarching business objectives.
  • Risk Management and Compliance:
    Ensure that all modernization activities comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and security protocols, thereby minimizing risk and maintaining system integrity.
  • Performance Tracking and Reporting:
    Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to monitor the progress of modernization initiatives and provide regular updates to senior management.


Qualifications:
Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity overseeing the modernization of legacy system software. Profound understanding of legacy technologies, including source code management, transmission methods, and integration of legacy systems. Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Strategic mindset with a results-oriented approach, capable of formulating and executing long-term plans to meet business objectives.
