Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is responsible for meeting/exceeding their regional sales budget of RF/Microwave and fiber optic connectors, cables, cable assemblies, components, antennas, and other products. The RSM is responsible for growing their geographic region through identifying product opportunities, new customers, and new programs utilizing relationship selling and demand creation. The RSM is the company’s local regional account manager for the customer and supports all facets of the sales process to ensure a positive customer experience.
Essential Functions:
· Manage and lead sales activities needed to meet/exceed new orders budget.
· Build, maintain, and execute against Opportunity Sales Funnel for regional growth.
· Develop Account Penetration Plans for the assigned territory leveraging existing and new products and customers. Expand from traditional markets into diversification markets to foster growth in the region.
· Develop customer relationships with key contacts within territory.
· Identify products to ensure Microwave Components is a valued resource for
customers’ current and future applications.
· Work closely with Inside Sales personnel, management, administrative staff, and vendors to support customer needs.
Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Sales, Marketing, or related field
AND
· Five years of prior RF/Microwave industry experience
OR
RF/Microwave/Fiber Optic product knowledge
· Familiarity with the RF/Microwave market segments
· Demonstrable record of successful outside sales and account management experience to RF customer segments.
· Customer familiarity/relationships in territory
· Equivalent combination of education and experience
· Current driver’s license and reliable automobile a must
· Ability to operate remotely in a home office environment.
