Position Summary The Proposal Coordinator is required to prepare proposal packages for various requests for proposals (RFPs) from potential customers. As a Proposal Coordinator, you should be articulate, have excellent written communication skills, and be able to work under pressure to meet demanding deadlines. Ultimately, a Proposal Writer should be consistent, detail-oriented, and able to write in a factual, convincing manner. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following: Interfaces with subject matter experts / technical professionals to write and edit various types of assigned proposal sections such as technical, management, staffing, and plans. Collaborate with subject matter experts and other writers to refine proposal sections to ensure accuracy, compliance, consistency, and reflection of win strategies. Researching, writing, and organizing information in a professional and credible manner. Develop writing plans and outlines, while utilizing proposal development tools and processes. Assists in developing supporting materials (illustrations, tables, etc.). Participates in department and company-wide documentation projects. Coordinating proposal activities to ensure that proposals are completed on time. Creating strategies for convincing others to take appropriate action. Attending meetings and identifying opportunities for proposal writing. Editing and revising proposals according to feedback. Maintaining consistency in proposal writing by following WidePoint policies. Tracks submitted proposals and proposal pipeline. Maintains the proposal library. Performs all other position-related duties as assigned or requested. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) The minimum qualifications include: A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field. A minimum of four (4) years of experience in proposal writing. Must have experience in developing compliant, customer-focused proposal sections and responding to Federal RFPs. Familiarity with U.S. Federal government procurement resources (e.g., sam.gov). Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficient with Visio or other graphical representation software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent writing and grammatical skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to present complex data in clear, concise text. Ability to meet deadlines and to work independently. Ability to edit and proofread the work of colleagues.
