SUMMARYThe Process Engineer must provide direction, guidance, and support to all the shift and day Process Technicians. The Process Engineer will apply continuous improvement methodology to enhance plant operations, supporting the specific plant goals in operational effectiveness (OE), job effectiveness (JE), safety, and quality.RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implements methods for sampling, inspection, testing and evaluation of productsInitiates process improvement projects to increase efficiency, reduce costs, improve quality and defect analysisExecute all required duties while practicing safe work methods and adhering to all plant safety rulesBe the driver in investigating, proposing, procuring and launching new process and operations improvements (flexible automation and manual equipment) by developing specific metrics and conducting necessary auditsAssist development of technical training plan for process engineering and continuous improvement methodology (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.)Develop troubleshooting guides for maintenance and operations personnel for line use. Train and deploy these in the plantActively participate with the EHS team to lead projects that improve worker safety and minimize incident riskFunction as a change agent and systematically drive and implement change through cross-functional efforts between the safety, manufacturing, and quality resourceDevelop engineering documentation: PFMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions, etc.Develop and maintain regular reports consistent with departmental needs to track progress and drive action on plant improvementsAdhere to the policies and procedures of Hanwha Q CELLS USA, Inc.Perform other duties and special projects, as assigned by managementREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in mechanical, material, electrical, chemical, and other engineeringStrong mechanical aptitude and analytical approachProven technical acumenEngineering degree or equivalent technical college diplomaAbility to stand and walk the production area throughout the workdayAbility to lift to 50 pounds without restrictionAbility to reach, push, pull, or lift as required within limits set by Q CellsAbility to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of timePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSAbility to filter "Big Data" and interpret for data driven decision making.Relevant experience within an industrial engineering environment (semiconductor, solar, etc.) Extensive experience implementing new programs and data systems.Ability to utilize abstract reasoning techniques to build reporting logic and establish creative solutions to new problems.Ability to learn various software applications required for quality and performance reporting and analysis.The ability to work with ambiguous data sets and information, using people skills and intuition to navigate solutions.Hanwha Q CELLS provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetics.
