Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Process Engineer to provide technical support to plant operations groups and lead front-end engineering development of capital projects. The ideal candidate will be a routine active contributor to Mosaic cross-site and/or cross-functional assignments and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support current business initiatives, including specific problem-solving projects or improvement activities involving multiple sites.
- Develop and implement front-end engineering for capital projects, including planning, identifying business objectives, evaluating viable options, preliminary design development, and economic and risk mitigation evaluation.
- Provide plant process engineering support to operations groups, including plant optimization, troubleshooting, efficiency improvement, problem solving, and prevention.
- Ensure site safety and environmental standards are met through safety audits, risk assessments, and housekeeping tours.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering required.
- Chemical industry experience preferred.
- Engineering experience.
- Phosphates industry experience preferred.
- Process control systems knowledge.
- Minitab experience preferred.
- Distributed control system (DCS) experience preferred.
- Objective interface systems (OIS) experience preferred.
- Fertilizer industry knowledge.
Experience Levels
- Engineer I: 0-2 years of co-op or internship experience.
- Engineer II: 2+ years of related experience in engineering, industrial project experience, or engineering project management.
- Engineer III: 4+ years of related experience in engineering, industrial project experience, or engineering project management.
- Engineer Sr: 8+ years or more of related experience in engineering, industrial project experience, or engineering project management.
