SUMMARY
The Manufacturing Process Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing wafer production methodologies, focusing on efficiency, dependability, and throughput at the Hanwha Q CELLS facility.
This position encompasses oversight of production lines, administrative tasks, and vendor coordination.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Enhance manufacturing techniques to improve efficiency, reliability, and throughput.
- Collaborate with fellow engineers and technicians to maintain stable production workflows.
- Engage in process design, development, and quality assurance activities to establish a robust wafer production process.
- Assist in drafting process documentation and batch records, as well as supporting equipment commissioning, training, and validation efforts.
- Create and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) aimed at improving process yields.
- Oversee daily operations related to process enhancements, including facility management and administrative responsibilities.
- Prepare technical reports and present findings to the team.
- Analyze data to propose immediate and long-term corrective measures and conduct follow-up experiments.
- Conduct reviews of batch records and deviations.
- Actively engage in identifying problems and implementing solutions in collaboration with other departments.
- Perform both small-scale and large-scale testing prior to full-scale production.
- Support investigations into technical deviations and work with Operations and Quality teams to assess impacts and root causes.
PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to navigate the production area throughout the workday.
- Capable of performing tasks that involve reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting within established limits.
- Prolonged periods of desk work and computer use.
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, materials, electrical, chemical engineering, or related fields.
- Relevant experience in an industrial engineering setting (e.g., semiconductor, solar industries).
- Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant engineering software (e.g., CAD, Statics, Minitab).
