We have a medium sized Non-profit seeking a Human Resources Risk Manager to support a project.

This position would be supporting the roll out and creation of the Workplace Violence program requirement by the State of CA.

Position would be 5-days onsite and would partner with the CPO and COO with various projects supporting risk mitigation and the roll out/implementation of the training for Workplace Violence.

Position would start next week and would last up to 90-days.

Ideal candidate has 10+ years of HR Risk Management experience within a larger organization.

Position pays $60-$75/hr

Basic Duties:

  • Planning: Develop plans and goals for the HR and risk division
  • Policies: Prepare and administer internal policies and procedures
  • Interpreting: Explain personnel and risk management rules, laws, and regulations to staff, supervisors, and managers
  • Assessing: Conduct assessments to analyze and define potential risks
  • Evaluating: Perform risk evaluations and assess risk levels and implications
  • Controlling: Develop risk management controls and systems
  • Reporting: Compile information about legal obligations and practices, and report risks to the risk management director
  • Presenting: Prepare and present risk assessment reports and proposals
  • Implementing: Implement health and safety plans
  • Auditing: Conduct policy and compliance audits
  • Training: Provide staff with risk awareness training and support
  • Educating: Educate employees
  • Securing: Work with IT to ensure sensitive data is secure
  • Consulting: Consult with experts or employment attorneys to review compliance and security documents and procedures

Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of progressive Risk Management experience within the HR field
  • Degree in Human Resources or relevant work experience
  • Ability to work independently
  • Has the ability to be onsite in Fremont 5-days a week (Monday-Friday)
