Job Summary

A Verifications Specialists verifies information provided by candidates on employment or leasing applications with academic institutions, professional references, military institutions and employers.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound calls to academic institutions and employers, academic institutions, military institutions and professional references to verify candidate information
  • Maintain professionalism on calls and in all internal and external communications
  • Maintain and improve quality of results by adhering to standards and guidelines
  • Handle escalated cases with academic institutions and employers to verify candidate information

  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional active listening skills with ability to capture what is being stated accurately
  • Ability to navigate through multiple computer applications with speed and accuracy

  • Ability to quickly and accurately document information
  • Excellent judgement with ability to report accurate content
  • Ability to problem solve complex issues and use analytical skills

  • Ability to multitask and follow assignments to completion with high attention to detail

  • Ability to type 40 WPM or more
  • Solid accuracy of grammar and spelling
  • High School diploma or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in data collection and computer applications
  • 6 months previous customer service and call center experience
  • Previous data entry experience

Working Conditions

  • This position requires the incumbent to work indoors at a desk for extended periods of time and use of work station.
  • The person must be able to comprehend and follow work instructions in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • This position requires the ability to interact with all levels within the organization and requires the ability to respond professionally to all individuals and work well as a team player.
  • This position may be requested to work overtime on occasion to meet company objectives.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to occasionally move about the office to access office equipment, etc.
  • Must be able to constantly operate office equipment such as a keyboard, phone, computer, copier, fax machine and printer, etc.
  • Must be able to frequently communicate with and listen to other INFORMDATA employees, clients, and vendors
  • Must be able to occasionally move, bend, lift, push, pull and carry no more than 20 pounds
  • Must be able to view multiple monitors for extended periods of time and visually determine accuracy, details and transcribe date in close proximity of computer software
