Position Summary

Working with the Sourcing Manager, assist in the Sourcing, vendor management, market analysis, risk mitigation, supplier expertise, and value delivery in designated categories. Implement category sourcing strategies, coordinating regional and local sourcing resources as needed, and building stakeholder alignment. Assist in negotiation and implementation of supply/pricing agreements, and resolve supplier disputes. Participate in key supplier development and improvement efforts, with a special focus on Supplier diversification. Support and leverage financial and spend systems. Lead assigned Sourcing activities and spends of $5mm+.
Responsibilities

Work is typically performed with supervision of Sourcing Manager.. Must be able to define work based on evaluation of short term goals of the department. Able to independently evaluate processes, identify areas of improvement, and incorporate in to overall work objectives.
Work with Sourcing Manager to develop Market analysis, risk mitigation, supplier innovation, and value delivery in designated categories, while adhering to standardized B-F Strategic Sourcing policies and procedures
Implement category sourcing strategies, coordinate with regional and local sourcing resources as needed, and build stakeholder alignment. Work closely with key internal customers across the organization, to develop effective cost reduction strategies, while meeting specification standards. Support on-going supplier selection and evaluation process.
Negotiate and participate in developing supplier agreements, and resolve supplier disputes while maintaining a high standard of ethics.
Uses data to undertake strategic analysis and sourcing planning to drive cost savings
Collaborates with internal partners to communicate, influence and drive utilization of preferred suppliers.
Participate in supplier development and improvement efforts, with a special focus on Supplier Diversity and efficiencies. Maintain key performance metrics appropriate for each category and suppliers. Build effective, consistent, and equitable strategic supplier relationships, while maintaining a high standard of ethics.
Partner with teams and stakeholders to, drive behaviors to common suppliers and processes, remove obstacles to usage, communicate benefits and encourage users, and develop excellent supplier relationships and performance.
Participate and lead in RFI / RFQ Process including new/current supplier assessment, productivity opportunities, etc.
Analyze data & award business utilizing a Best Total Cost approach
Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.

Bachelor degree in discipline related to functional work or role with 2-5 years of relevant work experience OR demonstrated ability to meet the job requirements through a comparable number of years of applicable work experience.
Able to apply broad work experience and knowledge when analyzing complex problems. Must be able consistently identify critical elements, variables and alternatives to develop solutions. Must be able to organize/prioritize existing resources and incorporate new information, as needed, to implement the most effective solutions. Able to communicate clearly and courteously with those who need to know of decisions/actions/problems. Able to apply excellent business acumen and collaborative skills when resolving problems.
Able to apply excellent functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, Excel, and/or other technical tools in completing assignments. Able to apply expertise in all the tools or applications used to complete work assignments. Able to mentor junior level team members in the use of tools and/or systems in the position. (where applicable)
Requires excellent communication skills with ability to state messages in a clear manner by using language that is easy for others to understand. Able to explain programs policies and procedures in language that is understood by others.
Developed expertise in the factors and key influences affecting sourcing and supplier mgmt. Skilled in applying the tools and techniques of competitive and collaborative purchasing. Skilled in implementation of sourcing process improvements and tools. Developed expertise in price and cost analysis tools/techniques.
Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus.
