This position is the employee relations coordinator for the veterans' home and manages labor relations activities involving multiple unions at the home. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position serves as the labor relations analyst and conducts the home's disciplinary process at SEVC. Duties include working with supervisors and managers to address work performance, time and attendance, and interpersonal problems. You conduct investigations and prepare all necessary information needed to either conduct or assist with a pre-disciplinary conference. You also manage the grievance process through research and investigation and ensure consistency with contract language. In addition, you regularly schedule labor-management meetings and prepare agenda items, first step packets, and act as facilitator to ensure issues are addressed. You manage labor relations activities involving multiple unions at the home.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment
Work hours are 8:15 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

One year as a Human Resource Analyst 1 including six months in the area of the parenthetical;

or
One year of experience in the performance of professional human resource duties, including six months of experience in the area of the parenthetical; and a bachelor's degree;

or
An equivalent combination of experience and training

.

Legal Requirements:
A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.
This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
