Wheatland Electric Cooperative, Inc. is a member owned electrical distribution cooperative dedicated to "Delivering Energy for Life" to our communities in western and central Kansas. We have an opening for a Human Resources Coordinator. This job can be located in our Scott City or Great Bend, Kansas offices. You will be empowered and exposed to situations that will utilize your administrative and human resources knowledge. You'll have learning opportunities in multiple aspects of human resource functions.

Summary:

To ensure accurate, reliable, and efficient administrative and personnel related services to help meet the objectives of the human resources department and the Cooperative. Involves a working knowledge of human resources related laws and processes.

Top Qualifications:

  • An associate degree in business or related field with 2 years of administrative or human resources experience; or 4 years of administrative or human resources experience.
  • Knowledgeable in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, or equivalent products.
  • Able to research laws and regulations using a wide variety of sources including (but not limited to) the internet and government websites.
  • Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Able to listen and interpret what individuals are asking/telling you.
  • Able to maintain confidential Cooperative and employee information.
  • Able to independently search out learning opportunities to expand and update human resource knowledge.
  • Able to effectively manage own time, including completing tasks and projects by the assigned deadlines.
  • Possess a professional presence which promotes responsible, reliable, and efficient work habits. Must demonstrate dependability, flexibility, honesty, and integrity.
  • Able to keep files, schedules, and projects organized.
  • Detail Oriented.
