Our client is seeking a Azure Fabric Cloud Infrastructure Architect to join their team. As an Azure Fabric Cloud Infrastructure Architect, you will be part of the team supporting the implementation of Azure Fabric. The ideal candidate will have Azure Fabric, Azure DataBricks and Microsoft Azure Purview and, and Architecture experience which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Serve as a cloud Infrastructure Architect, taking technical implementation ownership of the platform modernization project from inception to execution and collaborate with delivery cloud platform team members. Propose solutions, providing overall architectural strategy and design to ensure project goals are met.
  • Utilize deep understanding of fabric architecture and implementation. Hands-on buildout of cloud infrastructure to deliver a full medallion architecture across onelake.
  • Provide experience in Purview data governance implementation to build a data catalogue across the implementation
  • Drive platform modernization initiative, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  • Implement robust data security measures to safeguard sensitive information and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and facilitate technical implementation with stakeholders, documenting decisions and architectures concisely for non-technical audiences.
What's Needed?
  • 7+ years experience minimum
  • 2 years Azure fabric + at least 3 additional years configuring and supporting Azure cloud data platform modernization
  • Azure DataBricks and Microsoft Azure Purview hands on experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience working as a hands-on cloud infrastructure solutions architect.
  • Hands-on configuration experience with Microsoft fabric and Azure is essential.
  • Extensive experience in platform modernization projects and implementation, with a track record of successful delivery
  • Proficiency in building data platforms and managing data infrastructure using technologies such as Databricks, Unity, Airflow, Reltio, and Data Catalog.
  • Strong understanding of data management principles, including data organization, optimization, and the use of data management tools.
  • Expertise in data security practices and experience implementing robust security measures.
  • Familiarity with configuring Medallion Architecture in fabric and sizing fabric capacities, monitoring and platform oversight including proactive alerts implementation.
  • Excellent soft skills, including proactivity, initiative, technical curiosity, and a collaborative mindset.
