Sign On Bonus:$2,000; $1000 upon completion of 30 days, $1000 upon completion of 6 months

The Commnity Employment Specialist helps qualified people with mental health conditions return to work in community jobs aligned with career goals. In this role, you'd combine encouragement, motivational support and practical help to job seekers, while developing relationships with employers that help them solve workforce challenges. The Employment Specialist is trained to provide career planning, job search skills, job placement and retention services, and job and career coaching for people with disabilities.

The Community Employment Specialist works collaboratively with a team consisting of the Mass Rehab Commission (MRC) Counselor, the job seeker's Mental Health Outreach Team, and others to support successful employment outcomes.

Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; Bachelor's in human services preferred.
  • Experience in employment and training, human resources, counseling, marketing or vocational rehabilitation programs preferred.
  • Experienced direct care staff preferred.
  • Must have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport .
  • Preference given to bilingual/bicultural applicants and applicants with lived experience of psychiatriconditions.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a multistate CORI, driving record, reference check, employment verification, and education background checks.
