We have an outstanding Contract to Hire position for aMaterials Program Analyst to join a leading Company located in theWashington, DCsurrounding area. **US Citizenship is required, no Dual Citizenship.** **Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a DOE Q (Top Secret) Security Clearance.** Please click on this link if you have any questions on how to obtain a clearance: adpgs.com/obtain\_security\_clearance Job Responsibilities: + Support regular OES highlight activities to inform OES contribution. + Participate in creating and maintaining high level office documentation such as Implementation plans, Strategic Execution Framework and Stockpile Stewardship Management Plans. + Provide technical support to any Federal Program Managers responsible for the following areas: + Exploring material behavior in environments of extreme conditions of pressure, temperature, and strain rates. + Materials behavior of metals and/or energetics; advanced manufacturing. + Research needed to improve stockpile stewardship and science predictive capability. + Shock physics and hydrodynamics. + Aid in the development of dynamic experimental diagnostics and advanced experimental platforms. + Provide support for drafting/preparing Congressional reports/briefings. + Provide support for external stakeholder reviews and other data requests. + Conduct program reviews and provide reports to leadership as requested. + Additional duties as assigned. Basic Hiring Criteria: + Must have computer experience using standard applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. + Must have outstanding communication skills both written and verbal and have the ability to communicate with a variety of people at all levels in an organization. + Seven to ten (7-10) years' experience working with science and materials related projects. + Must have relevant advanced degree (Shock Physics, High Explosives, Materials, Chem E, etc.) + Highly effective communication skills (written and oral), effective work in fluid, fast-paced environment, essential teamwork skills, detail-oriented. + Must have extensive experience working in current standard computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint. + Must have experience performing work in a virtual / telework environment. + Must be able to communicate complex scientific reports and develop these reports from data analysis to others who may not be technical both via presentation and in written reports. + Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q (Top Secret) Clearance. Desired Qualifications: + PhD Degree in one of the technical fields. + Ten plus (10+) years' experience working with science and materials-related projects. + Experience working with science and nuclear-related projects in at least one of the areas below: + Experience with complex, experimental facilities and science-based stockpile stewardship. + Experience with materials under extreme conditions (i.e., pressure, temperature, etc.) research. + Experience with Light Source experimental research such as (APS at Argonne National Labs, National Synchrotron Light Source (NSLS), at Brookhaven, and LCLS at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory). + Experience with advanced x-ray and optical diagnostics. + Direct experience with the Office of Experimental Sciences (OES). + Secret Clearance HIGHLY PREFERRED.
