Description

The Director of Human Resources oversees all aspects of human resources management practices and processes in assigned locations. The role partners closely with executive leadership (CHRO) to develop and implement HR strategies that support the organization's overall business objectives and growth plans. The Director of HR ensures the effective delivery of HR services, including talent planning, compensation and benefits, employee relations, performance management, training and development, Compliance and employee engagement initiatives.

Responsibilities within this role include:
  • Manage and direct human resources and employee relations personnel and guide activities from HR centers of excellence in support of regional business strategies.
  • Work directly with the CHRO to design and meet organizational goals and strategies related to staffing, recruiting, and retention.
  • Assists in the direction and oversees the administration of HR programs including but not limited to disciplinary matters, disputes and investigations, productivity, recognition, engagement, training, and development.
  • Conducts research and analysis on organizational, industry, and market trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommends best practices and new technologies.
  • Reviews and modifies policies and practices, and regulatory changes, and applies up-to-date knowledge to communicate changes in policies, practices, and resources to upper management.
  • Direct relationships with external vendors on HR-related purchases and implementations
  • Assists in the development and management of departmental budgets.
  • Co-leads with HR functional Directors to develop and deliver integrated solutions to HR-related needs.
  • Support critical business objectives through effective change management to achieve desired sustainable business results.
  • Lead workforce development programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
  • Partner with area leadership to integrate systems, process and employees in acquisitions, and assuring cultural alignment.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and accountability with the HR function.
  • Drive regional employee and community engagement efforts.
  • Provide perspective, guidance, and coaching to organizational leaders regarding business challenges and opportunities, enhancing leadership capabilities, driving engagement & retention, increasing effectiveness, and optimizing organizational performance
  • Utilize data analytics and metrics to identify trends and market conditions to define, build and implement value-added HR strategies and solutions.
  • Lead Strategic Workforce Planning that includes identifying people and organizational implications of the business strategy, identifying key talent and driving accelerated development and succession plans.

Travel is a key component of this position, and candidates should be prepared to spend 25% of their time traveling
