Performance Engineer

will oversee the day-to-day commissioning activities of active EPC projects.

Position Responsibilities and Duties:

Stresses the importance that safety is the most important function, ensures that all employees from field team to office follow safe practices while working.Assist in the commissioning process of active EPC projects within SOLV Energy's project pipeline.Generating, maintaining, delivering, and tracking of day-to-day tasks and deadlines during the initial energization phase of EPC projects and throughout substantial completion of EPC projects.Day-to-day coordination and management of critical commissioning activities.Collaborate with internal teams to gather data and other relevant site information to understand any potential issues impacting site performance, construction, or operations.Calculate and analyze system performance to identify equipment issues and communicate relevant troubleshooting steps to internal and external teams as needed.Use internal commissioning analysis tools and real time data monitoring to help guide field teams on work prioritization.Identify operational issues and initiate problem resolution while working with OEM vendors, field service technicians, SCADA engineers, and other parties as needed.Assist and support in data analytics and other tools development.Track and understand contractual guarantee and assess project risk and any possible improvements, remediations, or optimizations that can be performed.Maintain clear and accurate commissioning documents/procedures for internal reference and training purposes.Troubleshoot data/equipment to determine and track root causes of commissioning challenges.Grow into a role of subject matter expertise in PV power plants.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Skills or Experience Requirements:

College degree in engineering or another related technical field preferredStrong understanding of physics (solar PV), mathematics, and statistics preferred1+ years' experience in data analytics and solar performance monitoring preferred1+ years' experience with PV performance modeling software such as PVSyst, SAM, and Helioscope preferredProficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and other Office toolsExperience with programming languages like Python, Java, and others preferredAbility to travel up to 20% of timeBroad understanding of the Renewable Energy industry with emphasis on Service and Construction preferredFoster a spirit of collaboration between teamsExperience working for a diverse multi-disciplined companyStrong communication skills to clearly articulate vision into an executable plan and clearly communicate details and thoughts to internal/external clientsEntrepreneurial spirit and passion for problem solving
