We are looking for a talented and driven System-on-Chip (SoC) Performance Evaluation Engineer to enhance our diverse team at Arm. Our focus is on the thorough analysis of SoC performance for Arm CPUs and System IP, both in pre-silicon and post-silicon settings. Collaborating closely with design teams and clients, we aim to develop top-tier silicon platforms across various sectors, including client computing, infrastructure, IoT, and automotive.
Key Responsibilities:In this role, you will:
- Lead and creatively address architectural inquiries and performance trade-off analyses across multiple SoC components such as CPU, IO, interconnects, and memory controllers.
- Conduct workload characterization to pinpoint performance limitations and suggest viable solutions.
- Facilitate collaboration and consensus among architects and IP teams.
- Over 10 years of experience in SoC performance modeling and analysis within the semiconductor sector.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, with a specialization in computer architecture and microarchitecture.
- Comprehensive understanding of general-purpose CPU microarchitecture, including processor pipelines, caches, and memory hierarchy.
- Proficiency in C/C++ for large-scale software development, along with familiarity in SystemC TLM and Python scripting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex solutions effectively.
- Familiarity with interconnect micro-architecture design, including PCIe and CHI protocols.
- Insight into workloads utilized for performance enhancement.
- Capability to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities and requirements.
- Experience with Unix, scripting, and version control systems (e.g., Git, Subversion).
The salary range for this position is as follows:
- Principal Engineer: From $221,127 to $299,172
- Senior Principal Engineer: From $273,020 to $369,380
