The Apple Media Tech (AMT) group plays a pivotal role in audio, video, and graphics across a range of Apple's cutting-edge products, including iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, AirPods, HomePod, Apple TV, and VisionPro.

Our Audio team is responsible for delivering the audio backbone for various high-profile features such as Game Audio, Siri, FaceTime, media capture, playback, and APIs for third-party developers to enhance our platforms.

We are seeking skilled engineers who are enthusiastic about developing audio features and products for millions of users while prioritizing the overall user experience.

You will have the opportunity to transform the audio landscape for gaming and emerging audio technologies.

Position Description:
We are looking for a motivated power and performance engineer to assist our audio engineering and quality assurance teams within the Audio & Media Technologies group.

As a key member of our team, your mission will be to help deliver exciting features while ensuring power and performance excellence across iOS, watchOS, tvOS, macOS, and visionOS platforms.

You will utilize various internal tools to measure power and performance metrics, and regularly engage with prototype hardware and development boards. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking initiative and thrives in a collaborative, multi-functional environment.

Key Qualifications:
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and the capacity to validate your ideas.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++, Objective C/Swift, and Python.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Knowledge and experience with common performance benchmarks and workloads.
  • Familiarity with system power, performance, and memory assessment tools.
  • Experience with Instruments in Xcode.
Education & Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

Compensation & Benefits:

At Apple, base salary is one component of our total compensation package, determined within a range that allows for growth and development within the role.

The base salary range for this position is between $135,400 and $250,600, influenced by your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the chance to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
