Job Title: Accountant

Job Description for the Accountant role: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks, including preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. Key Responsibilities of the Accountant:

  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management.
  • Analyze financial data and provide recommendations based on findings.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
  • Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting.
  • Conduct month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Assist with audits and tax filings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Preferred Experience for the Accountant:

  • Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).

Location: 100% onsite in St. Joseph, Michigan

Annual Salary: $58,000 to $74,000
