Accounting Manager

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing accurate financial information to management for decision-making purposes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, solid knowledge of accounting principles, and experience in financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
  2. Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
  3. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  4. Coordinate and lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department managers to develop accurate forecasts and financial plans.
  5. Provide strategic financial guidance to management, including financial analysis, budget variance analysis, and recommendations for improving profitability and efficiency.
  6. Oversee the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  7. Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and other financial professionals.
  8. Lead and mentor accounting staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
  9. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices, and ensure that accounting practices remain current and effective.
  10. Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least [X] years in a supervisory role.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret financial data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
