School of Biblical & Theological Studies - Office Assistant
Job Overview
The Office Assistant of the School of Biblical & Theological Studies is responsible for specific office procedures for the undergraduate program. The office assistant will support the Dean by working with the undergraduate Senior Office Coordinator and Graduate Office Coordinator in clerical and administrative functions. This position is 24 hours a week for 9 months a year.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Facilitate hiring process for student workers and approve timecards, assisting students with timecard platform as needed.
- Complete and process Major and Minor declaration forms.
- Assign and manage advisor/advisee listings.
- Request and archive syllabi each semester for undergrad and graduate professors.
- Prepare the student course evaluation process for each professor and archive.
- Grade exams for faculty as needed.
- Facilitate Theta Alpha Kappa honor society induction for qualifying undergraduate students.
- Create supplemental in-house marketing pieces for department events, certificate programs, study abroad programs, and lectures as needed.
- Maintain the floor by keeping the lounges, kitchenettes, and copier workstations stocked and organized.
- Reserve spaces within the department via Scheduling Services, in response to faculty/staff requests.
- Procure office supplies and other commodities or services as needed.
- Work with the undergraduate Senior Office Coordinator and the Graduate Office Coordinator with general office functions, including maintaining the department website and support for department events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Associate's degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- A minimum of two years' office experience preferred.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to 10 pounds.
