Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. Your expertise in supply chain management, contract negotiation, and supplier management will be crucial in supporting our organization's operations.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet organizational objectives
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities
- Source and select suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery requirements
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and service levels
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance on procurement processes
- Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns that may arise
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including contracts, purchase orders, and supplier information
- Utilize MRP systems or other procurement software to manage inventory levels and track purchasing activities
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and company policies

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
- Proven experience as a Procurement Specialist or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures
- Familiarity with quality management standards and processes
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers
- Proficient in using procurement software or MRP systems
- Solid understanding of logistics and transportation processes
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on market trends and supplier performance
