Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist- Male Strtp

**JOB SUMMARY**:
Center For Positive Changes (CFPC) is a 6-bed, Short Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP), committed to evaluating and addressing adolescent and transitional age youth’s unique behavioral health needs. We are seeking a Mental Health Rehabilitation Specialist (MHRS) to join our clinical team who has high ethical standards and a desire to positively impact the lives of youth and families involved with Child Welfare Services and the Justice System. The MHRS provides Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) to educate and coach youth and families on using healthy social / emotional skills to cope more effectively with life stressors in efforts to help the youth successfully transition to a lower level of care. The MHRS implements clinical direction from the Head of Service (HOS) and works closely with CFPC residential staff, social workers, probation officers, and other significant support people in each youth’s life to provide appropriate mental health treatment and coordination of care.
**REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE**:
1. Master’s degree or PhD **AND** at least two (2) years of full-time equivalent (FTE) direct care experience working in a mental health setting as a specialist in the fields of physical restoration, social adjustment, or vocational adjustment.
**OR**
2. Bachelor’s degree **AND** at least four (4) years of full-time equivalent (FTE) direct care experience working in a mental health setting as a specialist in the fields of physical restoration, social adjustment, or vocational adjustment.
**OR**
3. Associate’s Arts degree** AND **at least six (6) years of full-time equivalent (FTE) direct care experience working in a mental health setting as a specialist in the fields of physical restoration, social adjustment, or vocational adjustment.
