Position Overview: Seeking a Rehabilitation Specialist responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, and participating in rehabilitative programs to improve patient mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury. The ideal candidate will adhere to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. Clinical supervision of assistants and aides, as well as serving as a clinical instructor for assigned students, will also be a part of the role.

Job Description:

  • Plans, prepares, and implements individually designed physical treatment programs to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning in patients, which includes completing and documenting patient evaluations and tests per established standards.
  • Coordinates patient care effectively and efficiently with other care providers and support team members.
  • Works flexible shift assignments and provides clinical supervision to assistants and/or aides.

Education: Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program

Certification & Licensure: PT-Physical Therapist, BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

Skills and Knowledge: Critical thinking, complex problem-solving, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently. Effective and efficient professional communication skills as well as interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, teamwork/collaboration, and customer service abilities. Keenness to retain and apply new knowledge & skills and stay abreast of professional practice development and advancement.

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
