**Position Summary**

Support Aetna Medicare's ability to achieve its financial and strategic goals through effective support of financial closing, planning, and forecasting processes. Such activities drive the quality and integrity of P&L/cost center owner level reporting, membership and/or expense forecasts, product reporting and balance sheet reporting. Direction is to provide financial analysis and recommendations in support of management's evaluation of strategic and business initiatives.

This role supports the Medicare Advantage product, which is a $30 billion business and represents significant contribution margin and future growth for Aetna. The Analyst FP&A will support key finance functions including reporting monthly actuals, budgeting/strategic planning, and forecasting.

Other responsibilities for the Analyst FP&A include but are not limited to:

- Participate in the development of the annual budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and Medicare objectives
- Support development and maintenance of monthly membership close requests
- Perform financial analysis including conducting research and identifying underlying drivers of variances
- Perform financial analysis to support ad hoc requests
- Must be able to multi-task and work effectively toward deadlines
- Must be a naturally curious self-starter who is willing to take risks

**Required Qualifications**
- 1+ years of experience in an accounting or finance role
- 1+ years of MS excel experience as well as experience with all of Microsoft Suite

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Quick learner with time management and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of health insurance industry terminology and concepts

**Education**
- Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting is preferred

**Pay Range**

The typical pay range for this role is:
$40,600.00 - $85,100.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
