Role Overview:
The Capital Management division is an integral part of the Balance Sheet Management function within Corporate Treasury. We are seeking a Senior Treasury Analyst to assist in steering the organization towards its goal of becoming a $100B+ LFI bank.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Aggregate forecast inputs, ensuring effective scrutiny and controls to maintain data integrity.
  • Participate in the enhancement and ongoing development of forecasting tools for regulatory capital, both on and off-balance sheet risk-weighted assets for regular operations and stress testing scenarios. Conduct thorough attribution analysis to provide insights to management and the Board regarding capital trend drivers. Execute detailed variance analysis/backtesting to improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Refine and support the execution of stress testing frameworks.
  • Contribute to the formulation of the annual capital plan, stress testing, and monitoring of capital objectives/limits.
  • Assist in evaluating capital structure alternatives in alignment with overarching strategic goals and capital allocation assessments.
  • Establish necessary controls for comprehensive stress testing across the firm.
  • Support the analysis, development, and reporting of capital-related risk limits and early warning indicators.
  • Collaborate closely with other Corporate Treasury teams such as Liquidity Management, ALM, and Investments, as well as Internal Audit, Model Risk, and Risk Management. Work alongside FP&A to integrate the latest forecasts into capital projections. Engage with Regulatory Reporting to ensure capital positions are compliant.
  • Update and maintain process documentation and document newly established procedures.
  • The candidate will be a vital member of a team responsible for the firm's capital management, including forecasting and firm-wide capital management frameworks. The ideal candidate should possess Treasury or finance/banking experience, project management capabilities, analytical skills, and strong communication abilities.
Specific Duties Include:
  • Overseeing various processes related to capital management and capital stress testing.
  • Effectively partnering with key stakeholders across first, second, and third lines of defense.
  • Assisting the team in refining and supervising the implementation of regulatory capital and risk-weighted asset forecasting.
  • Supporting the Capital Management team in innovating, developing, and sustaining the capital management function to ensure compliance with LFI requirements over time.
  • Monitoring capital positions across the firm and legal entities.
  • Assisting in the preparation of presentations for various committees and the Board of Directors.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Treasury or the finance/banking sector.
  • Experience in an LFI firm ($100B+) or a business consulting firm is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to contribute to executive-level presentations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel is preferred.
  • Experience with balance sheet and P&L forecasting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with banking regulations is preferred.
