- Prepares patient for physical exam.
- Assists provider(s) in physical exam.
- Takes patient histories and documentation, obtaining all pertinent information related to the patient’s visit and previous medical history and drug allergies.
- Sets up examine rooms daily for appropriate medical and surgical procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining a well organized patient flow through hallway examine rooms.
- Performs appropriate laboratory tests (including specimen collection, preparation of lab requisition forms, logging, etc.)
- Assists with biopsy procedures (including preparation of requisition, logging, etc.)
- Reports all lab findings to the physician(s).
- Schedule patient for any diagnostic lab procedures done outside office facility.

Qualifications:

- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Graduate of MA accredited program required; CMA Certification preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical terminology.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with medical professionals.
