We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Medical Assistant to join our team at our Peoria location. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting medical professionals in various aspects of patient management, procedure assistance, and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:
* Prepares patient for physical exam.
* Assists provider(s) in physical exam.
* Takes patient histories and documentation, obtaining all pertinent information related to the patient’s visit and previous medical history and drug allergies.
* Sets up examine rooms daily for appropriate medical and surgical procedures.
* Responsible for maintaining a well organized patient flow through hallway examine rooms.
* Performs appropriate laboratory tests (including specimen collection, preparation of lab requisition forms, logging, etc.)
* Assists with biopsy procedures (including preparation of requisition, logging, etc.)
* Reports all lab findings to the physician(s).
* Schedule patient for any diagnostic lab procedures done outside office facility.

Qualifications:
* High school graduate or equivalent required.
* Graduate of MA accredited program required; CMA Certification preferred.
* Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and medical terminology.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work well within a team and collaborate with medical professionals.
