Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the efficient and accurate dispensing of medications at OSF HealthCare. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and labeling medications to match orders
  • Maintain accurate records related to drug use and charges
  • Prepare and deliver I.V. solutions
  • Perform various administrative tasks to support the pharmacy team

Requirements:

  • At least 16 years of age and a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Active Pharmacy Technician License or in process of obtaining
  • Must obtain certification (CPhT) validated by PTCB or National Healthcareer Certification within 2 years of initial licensure or within 2 years of hire
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 18 years of age and a high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year pharmacy experience
