Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our dedicated patient-centric team at Indiana Health Centers, Inc. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will contribute to both clinical and administrative tasks, providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Patient Care
    • Assist patients to examination rooms, provide information, and collect data for providers
    • Obtain vital signs and other pertinent physical data
  • Assist with Clinical Tasks
    • Complete and update patient medical histories
    • Check healthcare plans for patients
    • Assist with examinations, minor surgeries, and procedures
  • Administrative Support
    • Prepare and send out laboratory tests and results
    • Keep logs and paperwork current
    • Record laboratory tests and process results
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Follow up on TB and immunization requirements
    • Update electronic health records
    • Complete medical and laboratory supply inventories
    • Sterilize instruments
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Medical Assistant certification or diploma
  • Certified Medical Assistant preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Experience with electronic health records preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required
