Located in Greater Boston, MassBay is a comprehensive, open-access community college offering associate degrees and certificate programs on three campuses in Wellesley Hills, Framingham, and Ashland, Massachusetts.

**Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Director of Accessibility Resources, the Special Program Coordinator will develop a program to provide comprehensive behavioral and coaching support for neurodivergent students. The coordinator will identify student needs and goals and create a plan to develop critical skills needed for college success. One full-time position at the Wellesley Hills and Framingham campuses. This is a part-time (18 hours per week) grant-funded position funded through June 30th, 2024.

**Key Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Assist students in the development of the skills needed to succeed in college, including, but not limited to:

- Individualized coaching on social skill development, including navigating the classroom and college environment;
- Provide support with development of emotional regulation skills;
- Provide students with support in the classroom on an as-needed basis;
- Provide training and support to faculty and in developing strategies in working with students in the classroom
- Consult with staff to develop strategies to effectively work with students across campus offices
- Provide workshops that focus on skills such as (but not limited to) social skills, communication, emotional regulation, and self-advocacy
- Develop and an implement research-based social skills programming for neurodivergent students and support students in accessing college wide programming
- Develop and implement a Peer Mentoring program for neurodivergent students
- Utilize technology to accurately track student progress, maintain student files, and keep student records;
- Maintain confidentiality of student information;
- Connecting students with available resources at the college
- Other duties as assigned.

**Required Qualifications**:
Master's degree in Education, Special Education, Counseling, Psychology or closely related field; with three (3) years' experience and/or training involving special education, counseling, academic coaching; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Sensitivity and commitment to the goals of Affirmative Action and workforce diversity;
- Experience working in a diverse environment;
- Demonstrated commitment to working with underserved students;
- Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, learning disabilities, or mental health conditions, preferably in higher education
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

**Salary Range**: $35/hour
